Mid-Semester Security Beat
After making it halfway through the semester, Marist students are acting out.
On October 1st, there were two incidents of criminal mischief, one incident at Upper West involving holes being punched in residents’ walls and another in McCormick involving damage to an exit sign.
During the month of October, there were twelve drug violations, all of which involved marijuana. Those incidents ranged from October 1st to October 20th, with a majority being the result of RA checks for mid-semester break.
Additionally, four fake ids were confiscated this month.
Bicycles and bicycle parts were stolen at O’Shea, Midrise, and Champagnat on October 6th – the perpetrator has not yet been apprehended. On October 20th, more bicycle parts were stolen at Upper West.
There was a hit and run in the Beck parking lot on October 12th.
On October 18th, a golf cart was stolen from Champagnat. That investigation is still ongoing.
