Music Concert Scare Update
Kelvin Asiedu has made several court appearances since causing a security incident at the Marist Music Department concert this past May.
Asiedu, a college alumnus, appeared in Hyde Park Town Justice Court on May 30, Jun. 27, Jul. 25, and was scheduled to appear again on Aug. 22, according to a court official.
The official declined to comment further on the case.
Asiedu acted suspiciously during the Music Department’s Harmony on the Hudson concert, held at the Culinary Institute of America, on May 5 when he approached the stage during the event and left a backpack unattended in the seats, causing the performers and attendees to evacuate.
He was arrested and charged with making a terroristic threat, criminal nuisance, and disorderly conduct.
Asiedu is represented by Peter Kapitonov of White Plains, as reported by The Poughkeepsie Journal.
