Latest Reopening Update Includes Further Details of Extended Residential Move-in
After sharing and subsequently removing the Fall 2020 Reopening Strategy from its website Thursday morning, Marist College shared the latest campus communication and reposted the strategy report. This message includes further details about the extended residential move-in for the fall semester for incoming and returning students.
Students from New York State’s list of restricted states will arrive first, between Aug. 1-3, and details about their mandatory self-quarantine, housing and arrangements will be available on the reopening page of the website in the coming days. Both returning and incoming students will drop off their belongings, but not move in, between Aug. 10-14. Students will get more specific details about their arrival times, but incoming students will move in between Aug. 19-23 and returning students will move in between Aug. 17-23.
Earlier in the day, the Reopening Strategy appeared and disappeared from the college’s website. Taylor, Milliken, administrative coordinator for Student Affairs, explained why via email:
“The PDF document on the website had been preemptively loaded so that the communication to the Marist community that is/was scheduled to go out today can link back to it, but it should not have been published as live on the website as some minor details were still being reviewed. It was taken down in the meantime and a final version will be released when the email to students, parents and staff goes out,” Milliken said.
The Reopening Strategy in its entirety, as well as frequently asked questions, are now available here.
