The course will help students formulate deeper understandings of how individuals and groups act and operate in the connected era of social media. Questions like what social media is, why it is so popular and what the lasting impacts of social media are will be explored.

Perfect for the aspiring artist, this course focuses on establishing diverse drawing portfolios. Students are encouraged to experiment with different tools, drawing methods and art styles to develop an active sketchbook. If you are looking for a new, fun online course, look no further. This class takes a deep dive into the Metropolitan Museum of Art. From museum management to exploration of various collections, this course is an in-depth exploration of the MET. Each week is devoted to exploring a different theme, making for an interesting semester for the art lover.
TRAVEL WRITING WORKSHOP

Calling all travel lovers! This English class is a writing workshop with a travel theme. To be in the class, you do not need to have traveled far and wide; rather, you must be able to explore the differences between “home” and “away.” Students in this course are encouraged to link their travel observations with their own home lives and narratives.

This class is for those who want to explore the natural world right around them. About 80% of class time is spent outdoors examining the living things located around us. The course is heavily focused on identifying species, preserving the environment and gaining scientific knowledge in the Hudson River Valley region.

Law, policy and philosophy within case law are the foundation of this course, encouraging students to engage in oral and written arguments through appellate advocacy. The class relies on the collegiate Moot court model, where you will explore U.S. Supreme Court case law.
EVENT PLANNING

This class introduces students to event planning processes and techniques, with marketing, creating, organizing and identifying sponsors for larger-scale events serving as the curriculum highlights. Some of the topics discussed include vendor interaction, fundraising, budgeting and ethics. If possible, students will get the chance to organize a real event, putting their new skills and knowledge to use.
HISTORY OF ROCK AND ROLL

Students in this class will be provided with an understanding and new appreciation for all things rock and roll. By studying various music and artists from the roots of rock and roll until today, a wide variety of topics will be discussed. The course examines the different subgenres of rock and the impact the genre has on society.
