A Look Inside Conklin Hall: 150 Students Spend 14-Day Quarantine Off Campus

Per Marist College’s fall reopening plan, international students and students from New York’s restricted states must quarantine for two weeks prior to their arrival on campus. The college offered accommodations in Conklin Hall at Dutchess Community College for students, and approximately 150 are spending their mandatory 14-day quarantine at the off-campus location.

Hanna Bratt ‘23 traveled from Maryland to spend two weeks at Conklin Hall. She said that she worried the experience would be lonely, but became fast friends with her suite-mate from California.

“Since we can’t walk around campus, I’ll walk around the parking lot with my suite-mate and I’m playing a lot of Minecraft and working at the Marist Poll,” Bratt said.
