Song Title & Artist: “Bailey” by Rachel Portman

Recommended by: Emma Denes, Editor-in-Chief

Description: The first track of the soundtrack for the film “A Dog’s Purpose,” this uplifting instrumental piece will put you right in the autumnal spirit. In fact, listen to the entire album while on a scenic drive through fall foliage, and you’ll know what I mean.

Song Title & Artist: “Landslide” by Fleetwood Mac

Recommended by: Erin Holton, Co-Managing/Co-Features Editor

Description: Fleetwood Mac has always been one of my favorite bands to listen to in the fall, but this song in particular is my favorite. Perfect for sitting by the river and looking towards the treeline!

Song Title & Artist: “Montezuma” by Fleet Foxes

Recommended by: Andrew Breen, Co-Managing Editor

Description: Fleet Foxes may be the fall season incarnate as a band, full of lushness, melancholy, and beauty; if the autumnal cover art of their first three albums doesn’t convince you that they are the quintessential fall band, then “Montezuma” will.

Song Title& Artist: “I Know The End” by Phoebe Bridgers

Song Title& Artist: “Delicate” by Taylor Swift

Song Title & Artist: “Undone (The Sweater Song)” by Weezer

Description: It’s giving angst. It’s giving yearning. Isn’t that what fall is all about?

Song Title & Artist: “Fade Into You” by Mazzy Star

Recommended by: Jamie Holzmann, Co-Features Editor

Description: In this song, any sort of scenic drive and sunset is enough to make a grown man cry.

Song Title & Artist: “Two Hearts In 3/4 Time” by The Avalanches

Recommended by: Kyle Esoian, Co-Opinion Editor

Description: “Since I Left You” is essentially the godfather of plunderphonics records, and “Two Hearts In 3/4 Time” is a song on it that I've always just associated with fall. It’s light, breezy and gentle. It reminds me of leaves being swept up in the wind.

Song Title & Artist: “Seventeen” by Stone Cold Fox

Recommended by: Cora Flynn, Co-Arts & Culture Editor/Multimedia Assistant

Description: I’ve been obsessed with this song for years. It’s all about moving on as things change, which captures the feeling of fall.

Song Title & Artist: “Powers” by boygenius

Recommended by: Elizabeth Baumgardner, Photo/Copy Editor

Description: I think it just might be because this EP came out in the fall, but “The Rest” by Boygenius is such a fall EP to me. When the EP was released, I immediately declared “Powers” to be my favorite song on it. I just feel like I’m in this little indie short film that takes place in the fall whenever I listen to it.

Song Title & Artist: “All Too Well (10 Minute Version) (Taylor’s Version) (From The Vault)” by Taylor Swift

Recommended by: Lea Papakosmas, Marketing Director/Multimedia Assistant

Description: This is self-explanatory for all my Swifties out there.

Song Title & Artist: “There She Goes” by The La’s

Recommended by: Hannah Tone, Multimedia Director

Description:  This song always reminds me of the fall and the start of a new school year — a season of change that brings a sense of nostalgia and warmth. Listening to it on my way to class makes me feel like I’m living in an episode of “Gilmore Girls.

Song Title & Artist: “Lover, You Should’ve Come Over” by Jeff Buckley

Recommended by: Isabella Loiacono, Graphic Design Assistant

Description: The beginning of this song will always take me back to the first time I listened to it in the fall of senior year. As depressing as the song is, it’s definitely my fall anthem.
