Marist College Presents A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie and Hunter Hayes this Spring in Concert

Marist College offered two musical artists this year for the spring concert 2018. Rapper A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie performed on April 19th in the McCann Arena, and country singer Hunter Hayes performed on April 21st.

It was exciting that there were two options to choose from for the spring concert this year. Although, this was not the first time that Marist hosted two artists for the spring concert. According to Jennifer Unterbrink, Assistant Director of Student Activities at Marist College, Sammy Adams and Kid Ink both came to perform two years ago in 2016. Although, those two artists are both in the similar realm of hip-hop and rap, and they performed on the same day.

Perhaps what made this year’s performance so noteworthy is that there were two completely different style artists who performed on two different dates. Students got the chance to vote on which artists they wanted to see, and were pleasantly surprised when the school announced two concerts. All students, and people in general, have different musical interests, so it was very beneficial that both a rap artist and a country artist were presented. Props to Marist for satisfying an array of musical likings this year. There are sanguine expectations for the next spring concert to come.
